ROUTE 1 - ASHINOKO

About this track
With the warmth of morning still in my fingertips, I press engine start, and two heartbeats layer over Hakone's dawn. The higher we climb National Route 1, the white of steam slips behind and the blue of Lake Ashinoko kicks my chest's metronome half a beat ahead. Through the gate and onto the Ashinoko Skyline, the broken shoulder lines turn to notes I sing with my right foot. A high-speed eurobeat ride that stitches the morning's shift from white to transparent to blue into one lap around the lake.
Lyrics
Hands still warm from morning heat, eyes on BLUE,
I press the ENGINE START button—ready to move.
Climb to HAKONE PASS as daylight blooms,
Asphalt sings; my heartbeat locks the groove,
Yellow tail ahead draws a silver plume,
WHITE turns BLUE as I breathe and tune,
Mirror holds the steam of what we knew,
Front road writes the chapter we pursue.
Cloud-edge line—I slice it clean,
Hands stay steady, mind runs keen,
ASHINOKO calls, “Keep it serene,”
We crown this view with racing sheen.
ASHINOKO—circling light on the SKYLINE air,
White to Blue—every corner says, “Don’t spare,”
Bassline pumping, tires spell out a prayer,
Over the crest—rhythm and engine swear,
One more sweep and the day burns clear,
We ride this morning without fear.
Silver stripes in time, my pulse stays true,
Blue lake, white sky—cut straight through.
MELODY ROAD sings; I rise in tune,
Her voice on comms: “Take the higher room,”
TRANSPARENT kiss from the WASHER JET plume,
We laugh, stay fast, no drop, no gloom,
FUJI VIEW flickers—snow-crown bloom,
Grip draws arcs like a dancer’s rune.
Cloud-edge line—I carve and lean,
Foot stays certain, lines stay clean,
ASHINOKO hums beneath the machine,
The dawn writes loud in gasoline.
ASHINOKO—circling light on the SKYLINE air,
White to Blue—every corner says, “Don’t spare,”
Bassline pumping, tires spell out a prayer,
Over the crest—rhythm and engine swear,
One more sweep and the day burns clear,
We ride this morning without fear.
Lake like glass, my shadow runs,
Tempo locked at a thousand suns,
Down EKIDEN STRAIGHT the heartbeat drums,
I count each line as the chorus comes.
Red gate shines—HAKONE SHRINE in view,
HEIWA NO TORII paints a perfect hue,
I wave inside my chest, “I’ll come back soon,”
But now the lap calls louder than noon,
ASHINOKO breathes under every dune,
I match the sky and become its tune.
Hold the gear—no break, no fade,
Build the fire with the lines we laid,
Lift the key; let melody invade,
Push to the light that the morning made.
ASHINOKO—circling light on the SKYLINE air,
White to Blue—every corner says, “Don’t spare,”
Bassline pumping, tires spell out a prayer,
Over the crest—rhythm and engine swear;
ASHINOKO—write it bold, we won’t compare,
White to Blue—cut the skyline bare,
All the way round where the blue runs rare,
Lock in the glow—we’re almost there.
Back to HAKONE PASS with a sharpened blade,
I seal the shine this morning made.
ASHINOKO—White to Blue.
