Stops to Make on Your Drive: Roadside Stations & Expressway Rest Areas

I thought I'd pull in for a quick break at these roadside stations and expressway rest areas. Before I knew it, I was stopping at the same ones again on my next trip. I still picture the glints of light in a stone wall, the freshly baked bread I couldn't wait to try before reaching Tsunoshima, and the view of Diamond Fuji from the middle of the sea. Each season has a story from one of my visits, along with local specialties and things to enjoy at each stop.
